Overview
Special Result-Oriented Homams (Kamyartha Homams)
Sacred Vedic Rituals Performed for Specific Divine Results
Homams are sacred Vedic rituals performed for various deities and divine energies, and their types are countless. Each homam is dedicated to a specific Devata and is performed with prescribed mantras, offerings, and disciplines. While certain homams such as Ganapathi Homam, Lakshmi Homam, and Ayushya Homam can be performed simply at homes, large-scale homams involving extensive Vedic chanting and special dravyas can be conducted only in temples or public venues.
In this regard, the Om Sri Maha Periyava Sath Sangam Trust has been continuously conducting several special Kamyartha Homams on a monthly basis, during Periyava Jayanti and Aradhana days, to fulfill various devotees' requests. Recently, large-scale homams like Shandi Homam and Varahi Homam have been conducted successfully, allowing devotees from around the world to participate in Sankalpas and receive spiritual benefits.
“Homams performed in strict accordance with the Shastras unfailingly bestow assured results.” — Sri Maha Periyava
