Overview

Guruvara Annadanam

Guruvara Annadanam is a sacred act of service performed on Thursdays, the day of Guru’s grace. Sri Maha Periyava has beautifully highlighted the greatness of Annadanam by saying that it is the only charity which can completely satisfy a human being. Food offered with compassion not only nourishes the body but also brings peace to the mind and soul.

Pradosha Annadanam

Pradosha Annadanam is a sacred service that combines devotion to Lord Shiva with compassionate feeding. According to the divine words of Sri Maha Periyava, Pradosha worship removes doshas, washes away sins, and grants peace and happiness in life. Observing Pradosham with devotion and selfless service is considered highly meritorious and spiritually uplifting.

Thiruvannamalai Pournami Annadanam

Thiruvannamalai Annadanam is a sacred service that nourishes the body, mind, and soul of devotees during full moon pilgrimages. This sacred act not only fills the stomach but also uplifts the heart and strengthens devotion. Every full moon, devotees walking the Thiruvannamalai Krivalam Path are provided with food packets and water bottles, helping them refresh and continue their sacred journey with joy.

Vinayagar Chaturthi Annadhanam

A sacred service of offering food on Vinayagar Chaturthi, reflecting simplicity, sharing, and devotion. Sri Maha Periyava has beautifully said that true devotion is attained when food offered to the Lord is lovingly shared with all. Inspired by this teaching, we observe Annadhanam on Vinayagar Chaturthi, serving devotees and the needy.

Mayilai Neer Mor & Annadhanam

A sacred service of Neer Mor and Annadhanam offered during the Thiruther and 63 Moovar festival in Mylapore. During the historic festival, thousands of devotees gather with deep devotion despite the summer heat. Inspired by His teachings, we offer Neer Mor packets for thirst relief and Annadhanam to devotees.

Aadi Month Amman Temple Annadhanam

A sacred Annadhanam offered during the auspicious Aadi month, seeking the grace of the Divine Mother. Sri Maha Periyava has repeatedly spoken about the greatness of Aadi month worship and the benefits it bestows. In this spirit, on every Friday of the Aadi month, we offer Annadhanam to devotees at the West Saidapet Amman Temple.

Narasimha Jayanthi Annadhanam

A sacred Annadhanam service offered on Narasimha Jayanthi to devotees gathered for Bhagavatha Mela at Saliyamangalam near Thanjavur. Sri Maha Periyava has beautifully highlighted that offering food to devotees on sacred occasions is a direct form of worship to Lord Narasimha.

Deepavali Festival Seva

Celebrating Deepavali by sharing joy, gifts, and nourishment with patashala students and their families. To enable school students to celebrate Deepavali joyfully, we offer Deepavali gift hampers including new clothes, sweets, and firecrackers, along with Bhojanam and Sanmanam. “Showing happiness in others' faces is true Deepavali.” — Sri Maha Periyava

Kirthigai Muruga Annadhanam

Annadhanam offered every Kirthigai to devotees visiting Lord Muruga at Tiruchendur. Kirthigai is sacred to Lord Muruga, and on these auspicious days, thousands of devotees visit Tiruchendur to seek His blessings. Sri Maha Periyava compassionately reminded that devotees should never leave a temple hungry after darshan. “Feeding devotees after darshan is itself a sacred duty.” — Sri Maha Periyava

Annadhanam for Cancer Patients

A compassionate service offering nourishing food, comfort, and prayer to those affected by cancer. Sri Maha Periyava lovingly advised that along with medical treatment, kind words, nutritious food, and divine faith play a vital role in healing. “Kind words and food given with love become medicine for the patient.” — Sri Maha Periyava

Annadhanam for Destitute Elders

A compassionate service to nourish, comfort, and restore dignity to destitute senior citizens. Sri Maha Periyava compassionately reminded society that such elders need love and reassurance. “Showing love and care to the elderly is itself a sacred service.” — Sri Maha Periyava. Once every month, we visit the homes where destitute elders reside and serve them nutritious, multi-course meals.

Maha Periyava Sila Vigraha Prathishta Kainkaryam

A sacred initiative to install Maha Periyava stone vigrahas, spreading His blessings through consecrated sanctums. Sri Maha Periyava has often reminded that installing and worshipping sacred forms helps preserve Dharma. “Through worship of Maha Periyava’s vigraha, devotion is deeply rooted in the heart.” — Sri Maha Periyava. New stone vigrahas have been consecrated in six temples.

Krishna Jayanthi (Gokulashtami) Annadhanam

Celebrating Krishna Jayanthi by sharing joy, gifts, and wholesome food with young students. Every year, vedic vidhyarthis are presented with gift packets containing clothes and sweets, along with Annadhanam and Dakshina. “Serving Vedic vidhyarthis with joy and care is like performing the true festival of light.” — Sri Maha Periyava
