Overview
As per the divine teachings of Sri Maha Periyava, the word “Akshaya” means that which never diminishes, never fades, and continues to grow. It is believed that any virtuous act performed on Akshaya Tritiya yields everlasting benefits and multiplies manifold without loss. Keeping this sacred truth in mind, Annadanam, revered as the highest of all charities, is given prime importance on this day. Feeding the hungry—poor, needy, and all seekers—is considered equivalent to worshipping the Divine itself.
“By offering food (Annadanam), one receives the fruits of all forms of charity.” — Sri Maha Periyava
On Akshaya Tritiya, let compassion become abundance and service become worship.
